Senior Management
Kristopher Kornegay - President, 25 years experience
Kris has over 25 years experience in the cabling industry. He remains very involved in all facets of NC Comm’s operations, from project management, cabling installation, to Quality Control. In addition he has attended a wide variety of Bicsi sponsored accreditation courses, Kris also studied Communications at Central Carolina College.
Rickey Kornegay - Vice President, 27 years experience
Rickey has considerable sales & engineering experience in CATV, voice, and data cabling.
He is also responsible for conducting safety meetings and ensuring that NC Comm adheres to OSHA standards. Rickey attended Washington-Holmes Technical School and Chipola Community College; and holds Bicsi, Hellerman, Leviton, and Hubbell Certifications, as well. He has been with NC Comm for 9 years.
James W. Kornegay Jr, RCDD - Chief Financial Officer, 35 years experience
As the Senior Executive at NC Comm, James has over 35 years experience in the communications industry. As CFO, James is also responsible for all financial activity at NC Comm and acts at the company’s Controller. He has attended a wide variety of communications and accreditation courses and holds a Bicsi RCDD.
Al Sartin -Vice President Sales, 30 years experience
Al is NC Comm’s senior salesperson and deals with our key out-plant customers. He also is continually involved in estimating jobs and ensuring accurate bids. Al leads major customer meetings and ensures their satisfaction. 
Additional Management
James Murden, RCDD - Senior Engineer, 25 years experience
Jim is our Senior Engineer responsible for overseeing all engineering projects. He has extensive experience estimating and managing campus and premise installations. Jim holds several industry certifications including the Bicsi RCDD. He has been with NC Comm for the last 5 years
Tom Gaydos - Underground Supervisor, 10 years experience
Tom is our Sr. out-plant supervisor. He is in charge of our directional boring and trenching teams, as well as our splicing crew. He has been with NC Comm for six years and previously spent 35 years working for the Federal Government Criminal Justice System.
Nicole Hancock - Office Manager, 10 years experience
Nicole started with NC Comm as an intern while attending school. Upon graduation, she started full time and has been with us ever since. She oversees office staff and performs a myriad of accounting and administration duties. Nicole is also a Notary Public.
NC Communications, Inc. specializes in Structured Cabling Solutions for voice, data and video networks. Our solutions encompass premise distribution systems, outside plant installations and campus environments. Our services include the design, installation and maintenance of state-of-the-art cable plant infrastructures. As part of our engineering services, we provide a wide variety of support services from “red-line” as-builds to complete inside and outside plant campus designs using AutoCAD.
Many of our employees have eighteen to twenty five years of communications experience and have completed numerous training courses provided by major manufacturers and suppliers.
Our Structured Cabling Solutions adhere to the most current industry standards and codes (ANSI/EIA/TIA, IEEE, BICSI, NEC, etc.) and are thoroughly tested and certified.
We are an active member of Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) and have 2 Registered Communications Distribution Designers (RCDD) on staff.
Due to our philosophy, expertise, response and quality service, we have a loyal customer base that we serve on a continual basis.
